- Phone number – collected for account verification.
- Location – used on-device to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. Location is not stored on our servers or shared with advertisers.
- Device & usage information – non-personal technical data such as device model, OS version, app version, crash reports, and general usage analytics.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
- To authenticate your account and sync preferences across devices.
- To calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction from your location.
- To analyse usage patterns and troubleshoot issues (analytics and crash reporting).
- To respond to user support requests if you contact us directly.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or share your personal information (email address or phone number) with any third-party advertisers or data brokers.
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Retention
We retain collected data only as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account data at any time through the in-app account settings.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including AWS Amplify secure cloud storage — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
7. Your Choices
- Account data: delete your account within the App to remove your email address and phone number from our systems.
- Location: deny or revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings. Prayer times and Qibla features will be unavailable without it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above will reflect the date of the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or an App Store update description.
